#1: to the nord (Toulon NNW)

(visited by Christian Nicca, Jan Camenisch, Pit Brügger and Walti Meerwein)

27-Sep-2004 -- Having seen that some of the confluences south of the cote d'azur were not yet visited, and having the pleasure of making a sailing trip in this region raised hope to be able to combine the two.

our first sailing day was from bormes les mimosas to ile de porquerolle. on the second day we left the harbor of ile de proquerolle in the late morning. The general direction would have been east, but, not having wind at that time, my sugestion of going west instead (confluence!) was considered.

I activated the backoffice, let them check if 43N/6E was still unvisited, and in the meantime we anchored, visited the beach there, had a good time. ok. not visited yet. Thanks rene and patrik.

about noon the wind raised, as it did all the following days, and we took off to the west. It was perfect sailing weather. We got to the confluence point from ile de porquerolle in 2.5 hours. In view of the point one crew member greeted poseidon, with respect.

It is a nice confluence, since two directions are open water, and the first one for jan, the skipper, pit, walti and me. After some turns on and around the poing we turned east. And that way we sailed until, two days later, we arrived in saint tropez, turned west again and left Kinsale, the boat, in Bormes. A nice trip indeed.
