27-Aug-2004 -- In southern Brazil and northern Uruguay there is an interesting system of large coastal lagoons that support a very rich biodiversity. In Brazil the group of lakes north of Tramandai; group of lakes of Osorio; subsystem south of Tramandai; Banhado Grande system; Lagoa do Peixe" system; Banhado do Taim system; Lagoa Mirim system and Lagoa dos Patos system stand out.
Noteworthy in Uruguay are the Rocha lagoon; Laguna Negra y Bañados Santa Teresa (Negra lagoon and Santa Teresa marshes); Castillos lagoon; Garzón and José Ignacio lagoons; Laguna Merín y Bañados de San Miguel (Merín lagoon and San Miguel marshes).
This CP lies close to the Banhado do Taim system. In the fourth attempt we arrive close 5,26 kilometers to the confluence. There was a lake between the CP and us and we didn't find the road that skirted it.
