08-Aug-2004 -- This was my first trip to a confluence point. It was hot today, over 30°C, so I tried to get as close as possible to the point with the car.

My nav system (an iPAQ with Navman GPS and the TomTom software) had guided me very reliably up to Hofstetten. Then TomTom left me to my own though, the dirt roads were simply not recorded. I managed to get onto the dirt tracks without passing a "No Entry" sign, I did the rest with my Garmin.

I got to about 80m from the DCP Then it was child's play, right across the meadow. I was proud to have hit the spot exactly A couple times I thought, "if someone sees you running across the meadow with that thing in your hand, he's bound to think you're crazy". But it is fun - I could be infected and start visiting other points. I'm going to try in Bavaria next.
