24-Jul-2004 -- I have planned the visit to this confluence previously twice and this 3rd one is, finally, the successful one.
The 1st intent was 24-Jan-2004 when I visit successfully CP N10 W67. In that opportunity after visiting that confluence we went to CP N9 W67, but the closer we got was 1.8 km. Due to the time (5PM) and the distance we needed to walk we did not have enough time to go and return from the confluence with daylight (we were not prepare for a night walk in the bushes), we decide to visit this one in another time.
The 2nd was planned to go with a group of friends the 17-Apr-2004 but it was necessary to cancel because I had a detachment of the retina of my left eye just two days before, and I need to be submitted to a surgery and to keep a post surgery rest for almost 3 months.

After this long and boring rest, I am back atconfluence hunting. Today my older son and I left Caracas very early in our Land Cruiser towards El Calvario town. When we arrived, helped by the description of the first visitor of this CP, we asked for the farm El Guarao. When we arrived there, we asked to the person in charge of the farm, Mr Medardo Guevara, permission to enter the property who said to us that the owner is Mr Chano Bello. This farm like other in this area it is dedicated to cattle raising.

After the always difficult task of explain to somebody not related to this activities of our purpose, Mr Guevara let us pass and in addition served us as guide. We drove thru internal roads and grazing lands of a typical intense green due to the raining season. We advance up to 120 mts from the CP where it was impossible to continue with the Land Cruiser.
Then we started our short walk and arrived to a small forest where the CP is located. We got into the forest and immediately our traditional “Confluence Dance” began. The dance was very slow and difficult due to the lack of good satellite reception inside the forest.
The CP it is located at an elevation of 128.5 mts asl. We took the traditional pictures and returned to the vehicle to celebrate with some iced beers, well deserved and needed because of the high temperature and the bunch of mosquitoes that were bothering us in the CP. }
Well another bagged confluence and the hunt continues.
