13-Jun-2004 -- We set off early on Sunday to catch this point on the way to Erdenet. The point lies near the Orhon river about 30 km south of a main road. The cross country drive became progressively more difficult as the available land became squeezed between flood plain and steep hillside. Neither Russian jeeps nor Mongolian drivers give up easily and after negotiating some steep ravines while following an animal track we finally reached the CP and, after observing the rituals, had our picnic.

As we wanted to continue west we followed a different route away from the CP – much easier and less exciting.
