11-Aug-2003 -- For the third day in a row I was after confluence. After having been to 42N 93W in Iowa the previous day I was back in Illinois. This particular confluence was easy to get to. This part of Illinois is pretty flat with roads set out in a grid pattern. Getting onto the right section road led me to just south of the confluence. Like the confluence of two days ago 41N 90W I would have had to work my way through a dense field to reach the exact spot. As I didn't have that much time available I was satified to take pictures from my car. Picture #1 is out the front of my car looking west along the road. Picture #2 is out the back looking east. As I was entering this narrative I was puzzled why none of my pictures seemed to match those of the first visitors to the confluence. I finally realized that the trees to the left of the road in picture #2 match those in the distance of picture #3 of the first visitors.

Looks like they were a couple of hundred meters away from where I was. Picture #3 is looking north into the corn field where the confluence is. Picture #4 is looking south.
