#1: The confluence's place

(visited by Lis Maria Rabaco / Endre De Gyalokay)

03-Jan-2004 -- We left Montes Claros and took the road to Pirapora. After 30 km in this road we exited to Morro Vermelho.

Morro Vermelho is a small village in a top of hill. We passed to Morro Vermelho and went ahead taking the road to the right, keeping in the top of plato.

At 3 km from confluence we met two gates side to side, one made with iron colour blue and other made of wood. Probably one of these would took us at the confluence.

We kept on going ahead and we saw a house, a headquaters of a rural group. At front there was a gate going to Duo's Farm where we went in. Duo's house is at 1km from the confluence. But we saw another road towards the confluence from his house. We asked Duo how to reach this road.

He told us that probably this road is near Juvenal's house and to get there we have to cross a small stream in the back of Duo's house with a lot of mud which the car could get stuck in.

So we solved to find another way. Ahead of there, less than 1 km we entered in an another farm, crossed the fences opening and closing the gates, crossing the stream by the car, and finally after asked the people there how we can reach Juvenal house, we reached this road near Juvenal's house, after going around a hill and crossing another stream.

The confluence was 500m meters ahead almost near the top of the hill near some houses. There were nobody in these houses. The vegetation in the hill was like grass with some trees (the cerrado vegetation in Brazil). It was pleasent walking there and we found some footpaths towards the confluence.

It was easy to get there walking.

Coming back this conluence we took the road to Mato Verde, in the opposite side, and we went to Bocaiuva, reaching the BR-135 (Corinto-Montes Claros) near some antennas.
