26-Sep-2003 -- In Saudi Arabia we had a three-day weekend in September 2003. Thus we decided to go to Qaṭar to spend the weekend there and visit Dawḥa (Doha) the capital of the country. After we looked all over the town for a proper Ship Chandler to buy some spare parts for our boat, we enjoyed the weekend beside the pool of the Ritz Carlton hotel.

On our return journey we had planned to do the only in-land confluence of the country. We knew from the website that it was an easy one but because it was almost on our way we thought: Why not add it to our list?

In fact it did delay us only for 15 minutes, as it is only 350 m from a tarmac road. And we drove only a few kilometres on that road from the highway. After we took the usual pictures we got back in our Discovery and had an uneventful return home to Ẓahrān in Saudi Arabia.
