#1: Looking East from 42N92W toward New Hall

(visited by Adam Bumpus, Shelley Jennings and Matt Brown)

11-Nov-2000 -- We spent Sunday afternoon driving around Eastern Iowa playing geography games. In addition to visiting this site we also visited 42N91W and placed the first geocache in Iowa.

This location is along the fenceline between two cornfields. In some of the pictures you can see the barbed wire fence that is directly on the 42nd parallel. We went west from New Hall and then walked North across a cornfield for about 1/2 a mile to get to the exact site. It was quite cold and windy while we were there.
