We are a group of friends that form a club dedicated to off road driving. We have one thing in common, we are all owners of the same brand of vehicle: Ford Ranger 4x4 and from there comes the name of the club: www.clubranger4x4.com.ar .

The day we visited the confluence we were on the way back home after completing a charity drive to three schools in Salta. When we noticed that the route we were driving in was close to a confluence we decided to make a stop to record our presence there on behalf of the club.

The confluence we visited -- 26 degrees South and 66 degress West -- is located at about 2,000 metres West of the route 40, near the city of Aimana, in the province of Salta, Argentina.

To get to the confluence we exit the route 40 and took a secondary gravel road to the West. After we drove 2,000 metres we had to continue on our feet as the terrain did not allow for any vehicle. From there we walked 1,700 metres to the South. As you can see in the photos the terrain is not friendly at all. To get to the confluence we had to cross several rivers, thanksfully dry in this time of the year, but with the bottom full of big rocks and so deep that we had to climb to get out from a couple.

Finally and after almost one hour walking we got to the confluence and celebrated!!
