15-Jul-2002 -- While working on an environmental cleanup project on the North Slope of Alaska I realized that my daily commute by helicopter took me very close to two confluences. Having only a few days before heard the spot on NPR I had the helicopter pilot steer us to the confluence. We hovered over the point but did not land.

The first photo is looking East, the second South, the third is directly over the confluence through the cab of the Helicopter, and the fourth is a zoom shot over the confluence.
