(visited by Silke Heilig and Wolfgang Vogel)

26-Mar-2002 -- This is our first trip to visit confluences in Norway although we know the country already from the waterside by sailing-boat. Going to the middle part of the country we take ski with us which is very helpful to reach the points most of the times. Because of spring almost arriving there, we can sleep in our car throughout the whole journey.

The rivers are filled with clear tasty water to provide us with a stock of cooking and cleaning water. ( body and dishes - brrr, cold )

We start at a path leaving the highway which has been used by several skiers and snow-mobiles before us. We leave this path when the confluence is eastwards slightly behind us and cross a big lake which is still frozen. Fortunately the only sound we can hear is the crunching of snow when we step on it. The sun is melting the snow on the surface so we decide to walk back carrying our skies on our shoulders. Some Norwegian people look a bit puzzeled when we return to the car, because they want to start skiing and ice-fishing for the day.
