11-Oct-2001 -- Six months ago I decided to submit a confluence, with one only 30km from where I live; now the best ones were 500kms away. I packed up my family (Leigh, Laura and Robert) and after work drove down to Wagga. After refueling we headed out on the Old Narradera Road almost due west. This is a very scenic area but the rain squalls kept coming through.

About 4.4 km past Currawarna take a left on one of the three roads that go to Ganmurra. The small farm of Mirra Booka (which can be found on the Collingullie 1:25,000 map) is about 3 km off the main road.

Parking at the farmhouse I met Will, who runs the farm for his parents, and headed off with the family (the rain having eased) 400m west to the spot. Very impressed with the Garmin E-trek GPS I borrowed. Robert and Laura provided some colour and the cows on the adjacent field also showed some interest in the project. Now on to 35S 146E.
