15-Aug-2001 -- Heading back from a short visit at my summerhouse in the southern part of Västerbotten I noticed that I would pass near this confluence. Looking at the map I found a road close to the confluence, I only had to decide on what side of the Byske river I should go.

The map was not good enough so I choose north side wich turned out to be the wrong side. So standing on the banks (picture #2) of the Byske river I still had 900 meters left to the confluence. The water was cold and I did not feel for a swim so I had to find another route. This is good fishing water and I could see trails on the other bank wich made me suspect that there would be a road on the other side, altough it was not marked on my map.

Back in the car I found a gravel road south of the river which followed the river so I could park only 700 meters from the confluence.

On my way to the confluence I passed a salt stone that the local hunters has set up as a lure for moose. Later I found both moose and bear droppings.

The confluence was in the middle of shrubbery but the surrounding forest was rather sparse so the satellite reception was good and I could get an accuracy better than 5 meters.
