#1: View of the confluence point looking north east

(visited by Michel Dupuis)

25-Aug-2001 -- Taking the opportunity of a trip with my wife from Paris to Annecy and back, we visited successfully five points of confluence between the 21 and the 26 August 2001 : 48N003E, 47N004E, 47N006E, 48N005E, 48N004E.

We knew the 47N006E had already been unsuccessfully visited from the east bank of the Lison river and thus, started from the west bank!

We left the car in a hairpin bend of the small D139 road from Nans sous Sainte Anne to Saraz, 550 meters south of the confluence point (N46°59.710 E006°00.151), and started to walk north using a small path, and then directly in the woods through stones and bushes.

We walked 20 minutes and reached the aim at 14h28.

The ground comes to a stiff downhill 30 meters before you reach the point and we had to stop 12 meters before this real point as it is the edge of a cliff bringing to the bed of the Lison river.

The height there was 464 meters.

It was very hot in the woods, and we had to be careful for snakes. We also had troubles to take a good picture of the GPS due to multiple reflections of the sun.
