  60°N 25°E (visit #1)

#1: At the confluence. A ferry between Helsinki and Tallinn is visible.

(visited by Henrik Huhtinen, Sami Johansson and Marcus Engdahl)

03-Jun-2001 -- Returning from a successfull trip to the primary confluence 60N 24E, we called Marcus who missed the trip and he suggested that we try this secondary confluence which is directly south of Helsinki. Fortunately the confluence team accepts the spot.

You can check the pictures for the Helsinki skyline which is visible to the north. The confluence is at the border of a coastal artillery targeting practise firing range, but it is safe to go there when they are not shooting.

We also passed the World Heritage Fortress of Suomenlinna (pic #5) on our way to the confluence.

There is a lot of traffic between Helsinki and Tallinn (the trip is about 80km and costs about $8), so we took pictures of some boats. They are filled with tax-free booze and tobacco carrying people.

When we got back we had loads of gas left (approx. 0,2 litres). The team was glad it didn't take the longer route to the gas station..
