03-Jul-2018 -- Driving through France from Antibes towards Norway I remembered, my friend Pierre had settled somewhere between La Rochelle and Paris. We met and remembered how we had done some confluence visits in Northern Thailand some years ago. In 2009 and 2010, we visited 18N 100E and 19N 101E, the latter in two almost dramatic visits.

So we started looking for confluence points in Pierre's neighbourhood. The most convenient was about 55 km from his home and as the weather and summer light was great, we set off. The confluence point turned out to be less than 100 m from the road, in a wheat field. Walking carefully into the next field, we managed to get as close as 46 m.
