#1: The confluence point lies among rolling hills in dry farmland

(visited by Ross Finlayson)

14-Jan-2018 -- After visiting [-33,139], I drove south along the Barrier Highway, through the old copper mining town of Burra, then south-eastward along a series of gravel roads (including passing an impressive line of wind turbines), eventually ending up on a gravel road that passed just 300m southwest of the point. I parked at a farm gate at [-34.00306,138.99820], 380m from the point, and hiked along a farm road that took me up a small hill, almost directly to the point.

Although somewhat remote, this point is quite easy to reach, so it was a bit of a surprise that mine was the first visit to this point in more than 11 years.

The countryside here - with its rolling hills, dry grass, serpentine rocks, and large oak-like trees (actually eucalypts) - reminded me a lot of the countryside in California, where I live for most of the year.
