30-Jul-2015 -- I visited this very pleasant Degree Confluence Point while driving westward from southern Germany's Ammersee region to join the famed “Romantic Road”. I parked about 300 m to the north, and hiked south through a scenic pasture to the point, which lies in rolling farmland, with patches of forest - and the occasional farm building - scattered nearby.

Although my 300 m each-way hike was very easy, I realized afterwards that I could have driven even closer (within 100 m) if I had taken the gravel road at 48.00301°N 10.99537°E.
