16-Feb-2015 --The visit to this Confluence was something that we were studying for long time with friends of passion 4 X 4 Rosario. Perhaps it's one of the most difficult to access since it is in an area of extreme altitude belonging to the Cordillera de Los Andes, in the sector of the Puna Argentina.

After studying the images of GE, we saw that it was possible to access the CP if we surrounded the volcano Piscis, entering from the East and all walk around it in counterclockwise direction. There was a sandy spot, which we could access after sort the wading through one of the streams that descend from some of the glaciers that crown the volcano.

So on Saturday, February 14, 2015, we left Rosario and went directly to the town of Fiambala, Catamarca province, and from there we went to the Cortaderas hotel, nestled in the mountain at 3500 masl.

The next day, Sunday 15 February, starting from the hotel, we went to a place called "La Coipa" and from that point we started to go towards the area of the volcano Piscis. We went around the volcano, along a trail used by climbers, and enjoying the stunning landscape that is part of the region of Puna. We walked all day, and camped at 4100 masl in a place away from the harsh wind of the mountain range and that made us at least a not-so-cold night.

The next day, on Monday, February 16, 2015, we began the final approach to our objective. Once we already faced heading east towards the confluence, we began to ascend rapidly, and in just about 15 km climb up 4000 to 5400 meters, then descend a little, down to a huge sandy area and turn northward, following almost in a straight line to be approaching to the confluence.

Despite the heavy which was the ground, height we had, the intense cold, unforgiving wind, we are moving ahead with our trucks each one by his side looking for a better approximation, until one of my travel companions told us by radio:
- It seems to me that I am very near.

And then he exclaimed with festive voice:
-No, I'm above the confluence with my truck!

A minute later, the three trucks were almost side by side. We got out of them and confused us all together in an embrace. They were the 11.08 hs an amazing day! "We had come to a place where never before had come a human being" All this, framed in a deserving and extraordinary landscape that many can achieve to reach el.
