#1: View to the North

(visited by Cam Ross, Rhodri McDonald and James Heath)

07-Jan-2001 -- As the tail end of Rhodri's stag weekend, we decided to explore the area around Hadrian's Wall and conquer a confluence. The photos show a typical British field with some typical British sheep visible in the background. We only had to walk about half a mile from the car, which somehow wasn't enough to make us feel as though we had really conquered anything. However, it did make us realise that the reference system we use for measuring things on our globe is somewhat arbitrary. Rhodri was married a week later, and it was a completely fab wedding!
