13-Jul-2013 -- This is the first visit in a series of 5 CP visits made while on holiday in Sweden in July 2013. The next visit was 57N 15E.
A holiday with Heidi, Miriam, and Julia to Sweden for 2 weeks gave me the chance to visit a CP or 2. In fact I managed 5 - not a bad tally compared to my previous holidays.
We flew into Copenhagen, picked up a hire car, and headed over 'the bridge' to Sweden to meet friends up the coast from Ängelholm. On the way there I had 56N 13E in my sights. I had prior to departing Vienna, programmed a number of possible CPs into my TomTom including 56N 13E, so followed the instructions of the navi to a spot about 120 meters from the CP. Car navigation systems have made it so easy to get close to a CP with the minimum effort. Heidi and the girlies were not interested, it was hot, since we had woken at 4:30 that morning they were tired. Oh, and they were hungry. I should have known about this aspect - please see my comments from a previous visit to 48N 15E.
A short walk found me by the side of a crop field, the distance to the CP 30 or so meters. I did not push through closer to the CP because the crop is someone's livelihood. The usual photos were taken and we headed off towards Ängelholm making sure the children were fed ASAP!!
