05-Dec-2011 - Miramar, 5 December 2011, all indicated that would be one day climatically unstable, that morning I had intended to return to Buenos Aires and make the CP 38S 58W.

I was about 20 km from CP by dirt roads, then exit by Balcarce (another 30 km of dirty road) and from there to Buenos Aires - Mar del Plata Highway (route 2). Everything was going well for the dusty roads, started to rain a little bit what did than the dust of the road disappeared, so until parking 150 meters from the confluence... It lies in a field with planting of potatoes in an area characteristic in the province of Buenos Aires by the richness of the land with a large layer of black earth leads to this crop.

I leave the truck with a few dark clouds above me which blacked everything, jumped the wiring and long the great deluge, options? I back to the van until that past away or I soak and arrive to the confluence, I choose the second and came under a curtain of water that drops me were not falling, but beat me!

I can get the photos as I can (Note torrential rain) and I go running to the shelter of the 4x4. I dry a bit and I start to return… but of course, the road is now a track of SOAP. I put the high 4x4 and I will slowly to avoid falling into the gutters, do so between the undulations of the Sierras de Los Padres at about 5 km to the more consolidated way that expected would take me to Balcarce, but do not know and it was still raining at buckets preferred on this occasion to return where it came, although that’s implied doing 100 km more.

What looked like a ride was transformed into a rally! And the truth I had fun.
