HOLIDAYS 2011: A CONFLUENCE COULDN´T BE MISSING

I had promised to my wife quiet and common vacations without off-road and confluences. I accomplished it partially as you can read in my narrative of the trip, clicking here.

Only one and a half day had elapsed and a confluence appeared in my route and of course I couldn’t avoid the temptation, so I had to persuade my wife to make an exception, which wouldn’t be the last one.

The route we chose to go to El Bolsón wasn’t the usual one by the Alto Valle. I went by Rote Provincial 4 from Cholel Choel to Valcheta, a lonely and partially paved road across the “Bajo del Gualicho”. That place is so lonely is that we found a truck stopped in the middle of it and its driver asked us for help because he was there without diesel from last night and anyone had passed before us. It was 9:00 am and we were at two hours to Valcheta. We wrote down his data and promised to notify his problem.

When we were near the parallel 40th, confluence at 8 km from us appeared, in the middle of the desert. There we detoured by a wide road to the west at 2 km of the point and then by another narrow path we approached at only 200 meters. I believe that my track was different as our predecessors, after reading their narrative.

I took the usual pictures after a short walk and we retuned very happy for my new visit. We departed immediately because we had to notify the problem of the truckdriver at Valcheta as soon as possible.
