Conveniently located only 50 km NE from the famous Mandara Lakes, we visited this Confluence on the way out of the Idhān Awbāriy to its northeastern edge. The dunes around the lakes impress with heights over 100 m and require some desert driving experience to cross.

Around the confluence point the dune chains are rarely higher than 20 m with large plains between them and degrading even more as you head NE. So this way is a nice alternative to the bumpy tarmac road which runs along the southern and eastern edge of the Idhān Awbāriy via Sabhā.
