#1: The largest nearby tree, as seen from the point

(visited by Terje Mathisen)

10-May-2010 -- Coming back from my Slovakia trip I realized that I had enough spare time to make the short detour needed to revisit this point: My last trip here was in January 4 years ago, with snow on the ground, so now I could see what it looked like in another season.

My only worry this time was that since the point is located about 200m into a tilled field, it might be impossible to get close enough without damaging the new planting, but it fortunately turned out that the farmer had put a boundary between two different crops almost exactly on top of the confluence!

EGNOS was working very well (2m estimated accuracy), and by holding the GPS a little over the green field, but not stepping on it, I got within less than 4m GPS distance, so my total estimated accuracy was the same 4m.

According to my track log, the total time away from the highway was just 25 minutes. :-)
