#1: The confluence point lies in a flat area covered with sagebrush. A rock cairn covers a jar containing a 'geocache'

(visited by Ross Finlayson)

16-Apr-2010 -- This is a very easy confluence point to reach, as it lies just 400 feet west of Utah State Highway 130 (running north from Cedar City). Although - according to the Degree Confluence Project - mine was the first visit in almost 3 years, a 'geocache' at the confluence point contains a log book that shows many more visitors, including several this year alone.

When I made an entry in the log book, I made sure to include this project's URL - www.confluence.org - in the hope of making more geocache visitors aware of it.
