18-Nov-2009 --

18-Nov-2009-

Having as destiny Pehuajo city (the next day would the 35° W 61° S) I follow slightly more ahead the route 5 until the entrance to the Alagón station.

I did some 18 km. of dirty road (I was lucky that I was that afternoon because at night it rained and would surely be more difficult to make these km. in mud), passing the railway lines follow the parallel routes. At the Alagón station I was surprised to see a school of 1900 era, when Argentina was known as an opulent country. Just seeing the picture of this school; today with few students; and view sumptuous construction, recalling that we are in the middle of the field and abandoned station (which in turn will be given a fundamental thrust in this area) and some farms there is no more than that.

I continue to my destination of nailing zeros, reaching an approach of 1000 meters with the truck as described above and from there I hiked in a livestock pastures as others visitors. When I was approaching the cows run away to all sides in an afternoon of terrible heat. Once I reach the confluence, take photos and return to my truck to enjoy the air conditioning to maximize and return to Pehuajó.
