03-Oct-2009 --

03-Oct-2009 -- Today I visited this confluence and so was able to complete all the of Castille-La Mancha. Later I was in Albacete being a tourist.

The point is easy to reach, because this less than 2 km from the highway and with the car I could approach to about 200 meters. The land is level and the view clear. Albacete can be seen about 11km to the East. While at the confluence a hare ran in front of me that had escaped the hunters who were quite near as I heard them shooting.

Before reaching the CP I was nearby at the lagoon of Acequíon, this has been dried up for about forty years. It is interesting because in the middle of the lagoon there is an island in that the remains of a Bronze Age town can be seen, “crannog”. The only current occupants are rabbits, I believe that I saw a dozen approximately, but there will be many more.

After securing the confluence I went to Albacete to see the city. It's streets, their monuments, their parks, their bullring and its peculiar fairground.
