12-Sep-2009 --

12-Sep-2009 --

On September 12, we start with a clear goal, find the point of Confluence 12°N 70°W, as we all attendees are residents of the Paraguaná peninsula and therefore we wanted to take advantage of the proximity to the point of Confluence to succeed.

During the pre-planning we decided to make the confluence with two teams, since we had the opportunity to do so and we wanted to give a touch of competitive activity that we wanted to make.

Given the proximity decided to leave to the half day (12 12 p.m.), which was a big mistake since site once we realized that there was a great complexity to access the field. However none of the teams abandonment.

The field characteristics are typical of a xerophytes vegetation and an arid climate was what we accompanied, breeze and insects. Points were obtained by both teams. It was a great experience for all participants and we are already preparing the next run. It is an activity that put us in contact with nature, as we held an evening at the expectation if we were going or not to reach the point of Confluence.

In summary was imposing what has been achieved and we hope that many others will join this great experience, which we may share grown-ups and boys equally.

The trip was initiated from Judibana approximately 50 km. from the point of Confluence, taking the road to Jadacaquiva, the way was paved until close to the 6 km. where we take a dirt road and then complete the goal walking. The greatest obstacle found is that point of Confluence is within the boundaries of a family in property, which we handle requesting access that was granted without problem.
