(visited by Jack Frickey)

21-Jun-2009 -- Cheryl and I were on our way home from a square dance festival in Milwaukee and, as is our custom, we included a few confluences and geodashing dashpoints on our itinerary. This was our first stop of the day.

We were traveling east on Monroe Road toward Tecumseh, MI, then south on Adrian Highway about a half mile. The confluence is roughly .3 mile east of Adrian Hwy. but a long driveway to a large two story beige house went a significant portion of that distance. My knock on the door was answered by a young woman who indicated that her father was the property owner and was not home. After a short discussion, of which I’m sure she understood very little, she agreed to let me go in back and take some pictures. Apparently for his visit, Joseph Kerski walked a bit north of the small pasture area in which the confluence is located. Not having any directions to the contrary, I climbed over the metal gate at the west end of the pasture and walked directly to the confluence location (photo #5). All of the pasture residents (cows) were in a small enclosure in the northwest corner (photo #6) munching hay provided for them there. Although there was nothing to prevent them from being in the pasture, they seemed to be content to let me have it to myself for a short time. Photo #4 shows the owner’s house in the view to the west. Photos #1, #2, and #3 show the views to the east, north and, south respectively. As I returned over the gate and around the house to my car, I thanked the woman who was in back of the house with her black dog and gray and white cat monitoring my progress.
