11-Feb-2009 -- This is the 56th of a series of 83 confluence visits during our voyage from Nigeria to Europe and back to Nigeria around the entire African continent. It all started on 28 January 2008 at 11N 5E.

Story continues from 1S 30E.

After spending a couple of days in Kalangala on the Sese islands at the Lake Victoria, we managed to get onto the ferry to the village of Bukakata. It was the second trip for the ferry on this day and it was already late in the afternoon. That made us look for a holiday resort at Lake Nabugabo. We were very surprised to find such a nice place in the middle of nowhere. And to our surprise we meet Charlie, a British cyclist touring the world for the past 8 years, which we have met several times the last couple of months. We had a wonderful evening together, the food was excellent.

The next morning we left, we went to Masaka and onto the road to Kampala. We turned off to the village Nkozi and found the Confluence approximately 1 km outside the village centre. We managed to drive as close as 200 meters to the Confluence.

After completing all the necessary documentation, we continued to Kampala and further to the Bujagali Falls near Jinja where we set up our camp for the night.

Continued at 5S 39E.
