23-Sep-2008 -- This is the 39^th of a series of 83 confluence visits during our voyage from Nigeria to Europe and back to Nigeria around the entire African continent. It all started on 28 January at 11N 5E.

The last two days we spent at the vineyards in western Styria. From there we were driving to Deutschlandsberg and then up the hill to the Hepalpe and continued on this road till we got onto the road leading to Köflach.

This road bypasses the confluence by a couple of hundred meters. We found a turnoff from the main road onto a forestry road and managed to get as close as 40 meters to the confluence. It was a very cold day, much too cold for this time of the year. After completing the necessary documentation, we continued our journey to Graz where we met up with our dear friends Ezio and Barbara, which we had met several months ago in Morocco.

They are a super couple and we spent a couple of days with them and had lots of fun. One of the highlights was the opening ceremony of Barbara's new doctor's surgery.
