#1: General view. Is that it!

(visited by Kev Devlin)

28-Jun-2008 -- Scout for Oil Exploration survey seismic line passes within approx 8 km of the Confluence.

Overnight at the Fly Camp 60 km south and depart for scout 06:30. After scouting proposed line deviate off to the Confluence. Terrain from FC is hard going. Multiple ridge dune systems need to be crossed. Temps getting to low 40's Celsius by the time I get close.

Confluence is just inside the SE edge of a ridge dune. Park the truck up a few meters short due to soft sand and hike in the final few meters.

Is this it? Not a lot to see. Just another shallow blow hole with a few tufts of grass close to the actual point. Take my photos, neck back some water, and it's time to get back to base a mere 5-hours drive away for a cold one.
