09-Apr-2008 -- By chance the CP was within 50 metres of an area I needed to look at for my work (geology) and only 500 m or so from a highway. It did not take much effort to get there.
The track from the road led directly toward the CP, though the last 100 m or so was across a lightly forested area, though on the return walk back to the Çan-Bayramiç highway where the vehicle was parked, I just crossed a small fence to the West and back on to the track. The biggest difficulty was walking the track in and out as it was very muddy! This would have been the same track that Peter Thomson took on his visit to the CP in April 2005.
Once I was within metres of the CP it was obvious that the point was right amongst a thorny bush (± 5 metres GPS accuracy), but to get the double set of five zeroes I had to hold the GPS amongst the bush!
An easy CP compared to others.
