29-Dec-2007 -- Continued from 33S 18E.

Spurred by this experience I was now really eager to make a confluence point in South Africa, and a couple of days later I was on my way to visit my friend Siggi at Montague. From Melkboshstrand we were going onto the N7 towards Cape Town, then onto the N1 to Worcester where we turned off onto the Route 62 to Montague. Montague is famous for its hot springs. It was easy to find Siggi's and Elfi's new home and we had a nice breakfast there. Afterwards we went on an excursion into the village to see the nesting trees of the Sacred ibis and the surroundings.

For lunch we stopped at a beautiful farm outside the village where we were all very surprised to get enormous portions of food. After this very nice lunch we went to Bonneville and it was not long afterwards that we were on a track leading us as close as 500 meters to the Confluence. We parked the vehicle and Siggi and myself carried on. The rest decided to stay with the vehicle. After a short walk and over a couple of fences we were at the Confluence and enjoyed the view over this beautiful valley.
