10-Apr-2000 -- By road I was able to get 400 metres from this confluence; it appears to lie within the swampy area shown in this photo (beyond the railroad tracks in the foreground). To reach this area, take the Bruce Highway north from Mackay, then (at [-21.06940,149.01086]) take the road towards Seaforth. At [-21.01970,148.98970], turn right onto Howells Road. This (gravel) road passes "Don and Dougs Creek" (see photo 2) on the way. (Watch out for the free-range cattle!) It may be possible to reach the confluence from here using a dinghy.
