A BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY AFTERNOON OF SPRING

After a hard working week, we spent the leisure time on Sunday to rest. A very nice day of spring was perfect to ride.

Because one colleague, Alberto, had to travel to Argentina at the afternoon, we did plans to leave him at the Toronto Airport after lunch and then… to hunt confluences, again.

First, we went to Cambridge to do some purchase for gifts and then we choose to have lunch at a Mongolian Restaurant, according suggestion of Raul and Héctor. They have been before. It was curious and interesting experience to see all ingredients selected by ourselves are cooked in a big circular in a couple of minutes. The flavors were delicious but odd, at least for my taste.

After lunch, we went to Toronto Airport to leave Alberto and then we decided to visit and amazing store named Outdoor World where you can find all that you can imagine regarding fishing, hunting, camping, boating, skiing, etc… I have never seen something similar; the unique problem is to have money to spend.

Due to we don’t have money to spend then we spent time to snoop and then we drunk a cup of coffee at the typical "Tim Hortons".

There, I showed my always secret intention of reaching confluences: Raul knew it and Hector show curiosity; afterward they accepted the proposal for catching the 44°N 79°W. Quickly we were on the road to attempt it.

With the map of the GPS, we followed the Route 7 and after a half hour we were at Ashburn town on Myrtle Rd, practically on the confluence. We parked the car at exact 100 m of it.

It was enough to qualify successful visit for Degree Confluence Project, but not for me: I am an addict. The confluence was in the backyard of a house and then I had to enter for asking permission for getting the complete delete of minutes and seconds.

A young man, Brian, appeared and then I explained my purpose showing the Letter of Landowner. He was surprised but allowed to enter in the property and he came with me to claim the zeros.

He opened a gate in a fence of the backyard and easily I reached the right position and afterward minutes and seconds disappeared of my display: other confluence for me !!!!!

I was grateful with Brian and I returned to the car where Raul and Hector were waiting for me. They claimed a photo for the report because they were inside the circle of 100 meters of approaching and they were successful hunters too.

We were happy with our job and then we started to return to Guelph for finishing the funny Sunday. A heavy congestion at the 401 Highway delayed our arrival until the sunset.
