02-Apr-2007 -- This trip was birth as we were returning of the epic Confluencetherapy I ; we were very enthusiastic with that crazy adventure and we were thinking in other similar trip during the same return.

Same situation have occurred now: we are thinking in Confluencetherapy III (Coming next).

At the end of last year (2006), Pablo and I were looking for a geographic area to join 10 confluences to relapse: Somuncurá Plateau added to a couple of non labor days near the Easter were the place and the date selected. This time, the news would be to invite our wives to do “Couple Confluencetherapy “.

There were some friends interested but it is difficult to coordinate labor and other things with our wishes. Finally, only Pablo and I remained on board for the trip.

There was a big previous job of cartography during the summer because almost all the selected confluences looked like out of the known roads. We had to work hard to look for the possible tracks to approach to each one. I did my job with IGM maps and Google Earth and Pablo worked with Secretary of Energy website. The results were excellent because the jobs were complementary: a real team working.

The day disposed for the taking off arrived and Monday April 2nd we met ourselves early in the morning at General Roca city. My wife Adriana and I had arrived the previous night and Pablo, his wife Marisa and his son Matías had departed in the morning from Bahia Blanca.

We refilled the tanks and we drove along the provincial road 6 with southern course to El Cuy, enjoying with the last 100 km of asphalt of the week.

The hunting was ready to start.

FIRST CONFLUENCE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT

Before arriving to El Cuy, we turned left by a path along a chain of lonely modest houses of peasants during 34 km. We drove involved in a cloud of fine dust like talc and our wives started to practice “Tranquerism”, a permanent activity during the trip.

Tranquerism is part of the Confluencetherapy that consists in the following: our wives should open and close rural gates, previous a hard mental analysis of the type of lock of each gate. The models of rural gates were infinite and some locks were very difficult to understand.

Actually, we reached the first confluence of our trip very easily, because we approached with the vans up to 45 meters, when a fence avoided arriving directly over the point. (What difficult is to place the vans over a confluence!)

As it would be usual in our trip, we left the first stone memorial that we built to witness our presence.

We took the obligatory pictures after doing the “Confluence Dance” to claim the zeros in the GPS and then we return by the same path to El Cuy in order to refill gasoline.

Our next step would be to go far for the lonely provincial route 67 for reaching the second confluence, the 41°S 70°W .
