07-Feb-2007 -- Continued from 17N 3W.

Crossing from Diourbel Region to Louga Region along the Touba to Kébémèr road, we stopped to pick up the 15N 16W degree confluence, which appeared on maps to be just to the East of the excellent hardtop road. The GPS however indicated the Confluence to be on the west side (and quite close).

The GPS reading oscillated a bit around all the zeroes (batteries weak?) but settled within 0.1 seconds of arc. Photos N, S, E and W were taken from the site on dry open pasture with a few trees; together with one of our group (Howe-Kelley-Lee plus guide and driver).
