13-Jan-2007 --

To the 52°N 26°E point I set off from a bridge on the Pripiat river near Pinsk, where to I hitchhiked right after reaching the confluence point 52°N 27°E. On foot, across the village of Stytchevo, I got to Miestkovitchi village, from where I hitchhiked to Vulka Malaya village, next to which the confluence point is located. I got to this village at 11:40 am. Several hundred meters before the village there is a signpost informing about entering a borderline zone, which you can enter with a special pass only. There I turn in NW direction.

After about 950 meters I reached the confluence point. I was marching along an unpaved road, passing by a village cemetery. I also had to cross a sown field, softened by rain. The point is located between the field and an old, bushy drainage ditch. It was 12:00 nun.

This was the end of my first expedition to reach degree confluence points. Luckily it was successful. I even managed to finish it on day earlier than I had planned.

I got back to Poland on 13 January 2007. I crossed the border in Brest at 18:40 pm local time.
