08-Jul-2006 -- "Why are we leaving the path?"

"I want to see all the zeros come up"

"What?"

"Uhh, 'cos I am a total geek"

"What?"

"OK - by that lake over there, because 4000 years ago the babylonians decided to do everything in multiples of 60 and because 130 years ago the British Navies ruled the waves and because in 1984 the US Department of Defense decided on a new standard shape for the world, a line of latitude and a line of longitude exactly cross"

"Whatever... just be quick"

So it was that 23 people, and one canis lupus familiaris, stood around shivering while I did the confluence dance and waited for all the zeros to appear.
