15-Jun-2006 -- The capture was succesful. We arrived at the confluence, it was relatively simple to reach.
We walked about 900 meters from the road that goes from Chamical city to Los Baldes village where we had to leave the car we had to go through an area of very closed vegetation full of thorn bushes. In some places machetes were needed to be able to continue. It was a cloudy day but luckily it was not as cold as it usually is reaching temperatures of 40 degrees centigrades. On that day the temperature was around 18º. We left Chamical at noon and we completed the circuit in two hours and a half. There were lots of spiders and an incredible amount of flies. Although it is surrounded by salt banks on both sides, the confluence is set on clay soil. This is our first confluence but we are planning to hunt two more.
