(visited by Shigeru Shimizu)

12-Apr-2005 -- This was my second target. First one was gotten only three day ago.

On the way to my wife's home, she was born in Kyushu, I have a chance to call at Kirishima-Yaku national park. 32゚N 131゚E point is in the Kobayashi-city, north side of this park. I hired a car at Kagoshima airport and cross the national park to Kobayashi-city. Through the center of the town, I took Route 265. About 2Km run, I turned to the right to local road and soon cross a river. According to my map, scaled 1:25000, the target is the edge of the slant beside this river. I parked a car at closest to the point. My GPS told me it was only 90 meters to ESE.

I walked into an reentrant of bamboo grove, but it was wrong way. After 10 minutes fighting, I reached the point at the middle of steep slope down to river. It was 5:16PM, and almost dark in the bush.

After taking photos, I could easily go back to the car by going up to the slope and walking a field side. It was an correct and easy way to the point.

My wife was waiting for me over 25 minutes beside a car.
