26-Oct-2005 -- Spending a week on the Larzac plateau to practice orienteering, I saw that the village I was staying was only 30km far from the 44N 3E point. After a day of training, Fabien (a new "confluence point hunter") cyril (a recent one) and myself went there.

We were staying at "La Couvertoirade" a little beautiful village on the Larzac plateau. The route to the point was very simple as I saw in previous visits: we took the road in the Cernon river valley, went through the villages or Saint-Eulalie and La-Bastide-Pradines, and the point was 50 meter from the road in a field.

We had planned to visit the famous Roquefort makers closed to this point but it was too late. Maybe next time! Next visit planned on the back way to Paris: the point 45N 3E in Saint-Flour.
