Since the next confluence down the road hasn’t been visited yet as well we thought we give it a go as well. We had camped the last night just off the Mulga Park Road. A 100 km further along the Northern Territory-South Australia border we came pretty close to the confluence. Along the main road we were as close as 3 km when we started looking for a track leading closer. We were very happy to find an old very faint cleared line bearing South. We followed this track twisting trough the paddocks and got to a fence only a kilometer from the confluence. We left the car in the shade of a tree and headed for the confluence. First we had to climb a small hill. From it’s top we got a good idea where the position of the confluence would have to be. A few hundred meters further we fixed the position and took the required pictures. Again we left a tripod built from dead timber from around and walked back to our car.
