26-Feb-2005 -- This time we decided to visit 2 confluence points in one day. The detailed map and track calculations showed the length of the trip to be about 140-145 km if the starting and finishing points will be electric train stations connected with Kiev. So as a starting point we selected Nezhin, and as a finishing point – Bakhmach. And accordingly as the first confluence point to visit we selected 51N 32E

After the successful visit of the point 51N 32E we went by bicycles to the next destination, 51N 33E. The availability of good asphalt roads and local emergency assistance influenced our route. In spite of the fact that the direct distance between the nearest confluence points on the 51 parallel is about 70 km, we were forced to overcome about 110 kilometers

We arrived at the confluence point 51N 33E at about 18:00 local time. The sun had already set. And we accomplished the visit in almost absolute darkness! So the photos of all of the cardinal directions was almost the same (they don't add any information, so I didn't download them here). We discovered the confluence point located in the forest near the small village named “8’th March” :-)

Finally we traveled from Nezhin to Bakhmach, about 165 kilometers. Next day in the morning we returned to Kiev

A detailed description of this visit and our further Quest in Russian you can read on the velokiev.com site
