#1: confluence site looking south towards leon creek

(visited by Frank Majcenovic)

20-Apr-2002 -- From Lillooet: Drive north along Bridge River Road to Bridge River rapids and West Pavillion Forest Service Road at 8.0 km. Turn north onto gravelly West Pavillion FSR with Fraser River to your right. Pass 'Ginger Gardens' at 40.0 km. Several nice views of the Fraser River far down below.

The Fraser River is the principal river of British Columbia. This is semi-remote dry ranchland country. Pass Leon Creek at 56.9 km. At 60.0 km come to road leading west with 'Road Deactivated' sign.

I parked here and walked along this road (across an unpassable washout half way up) to 62.4 km. Along the road is a good view of Leon Creek down below.

At 62.4 km you will see sign '65' and will still be approximately 230 meters to confluence. A deer trail 8 meters north of the sign will lead you south until the confluence is due east approximately 80 meters.

At the site I took some pictures. My first confluence visit. The next day I went to visit 51°N 121°W.
