25-Jun-2002 -- My partner and I spent our holidays at Chibougameau, where my brother Mathieu lives. We had already plan to visit a point of confluence. Based on topographic maps, Mathieu thought that a forest road passed at less than 500m of a point. We had the hope to get to the point easily.

In Mathieu's car, we took the direction of the native village of Oujé-Bougoumou, closest town of the point. After we encountered many wood trucks and a few native's houses we were happy to see that the point was closer to the road than we expected.

The trees in the area must have been cut a decade ago. This enhances greatly the impression to be in the middle of nowhere. And this impression is what I remember of the point 50N 75W.
