10-May-2024 -- This is the 2^nd out of 7 reports visiting confluence points during a one-week bicycle trip from Budapest to Podgorica. The story starts from 47°N 19°E

In the morning I started cycling from the town Baja, which is 20 km north of the confluence as the crows fly. I feared that I might bump into border guards, since the point is only 4.5km from the border to Serbia, which means it is an external frontier of the Community. I approached the point from the village of Gara (4 km north-east of the confluence). The agricultural tracks were dry and the approach was straightforward. Not so back in January 2015 when I did not reach the confluence point by car under rainy conditions.

I found the exact location to be located just on the side of my track. So there was no need to step into the field. Again, as the previous confluence, the crops consisted of very young sunflowers.

Shortly after my visit, I crossed the nearby border into Serbia and around noon into Croatia.
